Non-destructive testing of technical objects and artwork

Optical techniques are well suited for non-destructive investigation of mechanical structures, since they enable contactless and full field measurement. Imaging techniques based on digital holographic interferometry and shearography are currently investigated at our Institute and used for deformation measurement of microsystems, residual stress measurements and detection of defects in artworks.
