We congratulate Christian Schober on winning second place in the Young Scientist Award, which CC UPOB e.V. (https://www.upob.de/) has announced this year for the fourth time. The prize recognises outstanding scientific work by young scientists in the field of measuring and manufacturing ultra-precise surfaces and was awarded on 16.03.2022 during the 12th High Level Expert Meeting (HLEM 2022) on aspherical and free-form surface metrology.
